Sassuolo is in a tight competition with Bologna for two players: Mattia Liberali and Cristian Volpato. Who will win? The Bologna has already started contacts with Liberali, a trequartista ex Milan, who has surprised everyone with his performance in Serie B with Catanzaro and seems ready to make the big jump to Serie A. He has a clause of 6 million euros, half of which will go directly to the Milan. The Sassuolo, with the new coach Aquilani, who has already called Liberali among the big of Serie B, is also in the running. The first calls to the agent and the Ds Polito, however, have come from Casteldebole. Meanwhile, the entourage that takes care of the young azzurro (Lucci) is the same as the rossoblù Raimondo and Pyyhtia, as well as the ex Calafiori and Cocchi. But the cross is double – says the Resto del Carlino – because if Liberali were to choose Sassuolo, the neroverdi could free themselves of Cristian Volpato. The Australian ex Roma likes Bologna, but there is already competition from Fiorentina's Fabio Grosso. The same Grosso who has had Volpato for two years between Serie B and A and with whom he has collected 6 goals and 10 assists (as a reserve of the unmovable Mimmo Berardi). Bologna has already sounded the terrain, strong of the link with the player's agency, the same as Lucumí and the Koopmeiners brothers (Peer is in the rossoblù's sights).
